Partnership to Inspire, Transform and Connect the HIV response

An ambitious project that aims to work towards ending the AIDS epidemic in nine countries that are most affected by HIV. It focuses on building the institutional capacity of local civil society organisations to advocate, generate evidence and develop robust policy solutions.

This new strategic partnership between Aids Fonds/STOP AIDS NOW!, the Alliance and the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2016-2020) will work towards ending the AIDS epidemic in Indonesia, Kenya, Mozambique, Myanmar, Nigeria, Uganda, Ukraine, Vietnam and Zimbabwe.

Walking the streets spreading the news of a local health camp in the community. Kinawataka, Kampala, Uganda.
Local civil society organisations will be strengthened to advocate for equal access to HIV and sexual and reproductive health-related services; equal sexual and reproductive health and rights for those most affected by HIV; and decriminalisation, particularly for the most affected populations. These include men who have sex with men, sex workers, transgender people, people who inject drugs and young people living with HIV.

To support this, new coalitions will be built and local evidence will infuse regional and global health policy debates.

The project is supported and partnered by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as part of their “Dialogue and Dissent” programme.
