Thank you Eva for this important information.
My request is if we could be issued with more updates about the new TB strain from India that is creeping into our country Kenya. I have a friend who really suffered before her TB was diagnosed only to be told that it is not common in Kenya.

Let us also put pressure on the government to prioritize Health among other things like defense which is allocated so much money. Don't they know that the soldiers are also sick and need care?

Hie Lynda
I Share your concerns about the cut in funding by Global Fund on HIV work. It is indeed a shocking piece of news especially for people affected and infected by HIV. I agree with you that dependance on external funding should gradually get to the periphery of all developmentw work in Africa and more should be done to harness internal resources to support development efforts in our countries. The onus is honours to use this exprience to mobilise our communities to support the need people in their home even more.

Linda
Yes the lights have been turned off on the progress made so far in the fight against HIV/AIDS. It is sad when so much progress have been made in the fight against HIV/AIDS. We therefore need to look at what we can do together to put the light on. We need to link with the groups that are mostly affected by the pandemic and support them to have a voice. We need to talk to other groups as well.
I am just coming from the CPA Conference on HIV/AIDS and TB to SAVE 1 MILLION LIVES. I think we can do it if we come together as NGOs, Government, Youth Leaders and every sector of society to fight against this pandemic.

I believe that people should be supported according to their real needs. This is one of the things that have made international aid to fail because decisions are taken in a BUREAU and then put in place without understanding what the undermining causes if the problem are. The day there will be no more food cards and money, people will again have children or keep doing they business. Why not teaching them how to prevent unwated pregnancies which is diffrent from not having a baby at all. Lest talking to people and here their say!!!
